Johnny was born in Fort Worth, Texas on January 16, 1979. And during his short time here on earth he loved to spend time with his family and entertain others with his animated storytelling. Johnny was an avid hunter and fisherman and took great pride in being the uncle that taught his children and many nieces and nephews how to hunt, surf and wake board.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda “Mandy” Perez; his daughter, Antonia “Toni” Ann Perez; son, Cruz Armand Perez; his parents, Otha and Joyce Sherrin; sisters, Monica Knott (Kris), Jennifer Norfleet (Brett), Jennifer Perez-Acosta (Steve), Monica Perez-Torres (Victor); and brother, Jeff McGee; his Meemaw, “Sandy Box”; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was fortunate enough to call his childhood friend, Ian McAllister, his true brother.
His huge personality left an unforgettable impression on everyone he met.

Johnny grew up with both my sons. Ian & Sean McAllister. I was used to seeing Johnny's smiling face. My heart goes to Mandy, Toni and Cruz in their loss.
